I'm an ex St Edwards boy from Romford, born in Forest Gate. I moved up to Norfolk with family years ago, and because I married a country girl I never got to go back.
I play Piano and Hammond Organ mainly, though I started my pro career as a drummer and spent many years as a guitarist and singer, but my day job now is building Guitars and Basses in the small workshop attached to the house.
I come down to games when I can, enthusiastically dragged by my Norfolk girl Missus, who caught the football bug at a rather dull draw against Bolton Wanderers under the Baron.
How I came to support West Ham
Didn't everyone? A good cup run in 1980 certainly drew me in, I was only 8. Going to school next to the training ground certainly kept me interested!
My best West Ham memory
FA cup 1980 was great - but a TV event only for me as my dad wasn't a football fan at all (and a northerner to boot - Forest if any team at all). Best in the flesh game - in the snow, Upton Park, banging 4 past the hopeless Mancunians.
The best West Ham game I’ve ever seen
West Ham 4 - 0 Manchester Utd.
